Roberto Garcia Parrondo about Bundesliga season: We are not ready to win it, there are 4 giants

MT Melsungen is performing exceptionally well on all fronts this season. The team from Kassel remains at the top of the Bundesliga and has a strong chance to go far in both the German Cup and the EHF European League, where they have already reached the Top 12 and are set to compete in a thrilling final phase.
However, Spanish coach Roberto García Parrondo is keeping expectations in check, refusing to accept the pressure of winning trophies—pressure he believes should be on other clubs in Germany.
“I won’t be dissatisfied if we don’t win. We are not ready to win the Bundesliga. We have 15 more matches to play, and we will fight for every single one, but we can’t put pressure on ourselves thinking about what happens if we win. We are a small club, doing great things, and creating new history. But there are four giants in the Bundesliga—Kiel, Flensburg, Magdeburg, and Berlin. If we claim the title is our goal, imagine the expectations on them. We are really proud of what the team is doing right now, proud of the fight we show in every match. At the end of the season, we’ll see where we stand. The title is not our target. Our real goal is European qualification. We have reached the Final Four of the Cup, that is amazing, and we want to go as far as possible in the EHF European League.”

Who is the favorite to win Bundesliga?
“It will be tough. The teams that win direct clashes between the top contenders will have a small advantage.
