Politehnica Timisoara won Romanian Cup 2019. The team at place 7 in Romanian Championship surprised their fans by winning the first trophy after 28 years. Timisoara beat Steaua Bucuresti 31:25 in the Cup final in Foscani.
Politehnica beat Foscani 25:18 at semi-final day before, while Steaua beat local rival Dinamo Bucuresti 26:25.
Last trophy of Timisoara was won in 1991, when Politehnica win the national Championship.
