After the draw for the L16 phase of the EHF Champions League, the only team from Slovenia that reached the phase – Celje Pivovarna Lasko got German Flensburg-Handewitt as their opponent. Coach Branko Tamse commented the encounter.
– We got a quality opponent, but it couldn’t be otherwise today. We already know Flensburg from the past seasons. For me, they play the most beautiful handball in Germany, and have the best game system and all positions are excellent covered. They have a lot of foreigners, dominated by a good mix of Scandinavian-Balkan players. We still have some time until the first match, and when the time comes, we will give our best on the pitch.
