Croatian NT coach, Vladimir Canjuga: “Biggest win of my career” (VIDEO)

A lot of joy brought a success of Croatian handball team against Montenegro 29:28 in the match of the Preliminary Round 3 at the EHF EURO 2010. About that speaking also a statement of Croatian national coach, Vladimir Canjuga:

– We played well and I’m pleased with the result. I was afraid that our defence would not work today, but our tactic against their best player, Bojana Popovic, was successful. I have been in handball for 30 years, but this is one my best results ever.

Dragan Adzic (coach, MNE):
We prepared our players well and they were up against a splendid team, but we didn’t succeed. Croatia were ahead of us all the time and I think we lost the game in defence.

Madja Mehmedovic (player, MNE):
As my coach I would like to congratulate Croatia for the victory to night. They fought better than us, they played well, but I still think that we can perform on a higher level than we did to night.

Lidja Horvat (player, CRO): It was a very tough match and we really wanted to show that we are better than last time. It was so important to take these points before the Main Round.

Canjuga is famous as a “winner”. He already won some medals with male youth categories of Croatia. For an example – U 19 World Championships gold with the generation 1990. He moved then to female national team.
