EHF Final 4 in Cologne still 24 hours battle for glory

European Handball Federation announced schedule for the VELUX EHF CL Final 4 which will be held, fo the eighth year in a row in Cologne – on June 3/4. The playing time staying the same for the seventh year in a row, which means that teams will play two most important matches of the season in about 24 hours.

Some of the TOP stars like Domagoj Duvnjak raised their voice against such a rhythm calling for a basketball model in which Final 4 would last three days, with one day free between semi-final and the final, but obviously this pressure is still too weak to change something.

Saturday 3 June 2017
Semi-final 1 – throw off at 15:15 hrs
Semi-final 2 – throw off at 18:00 hrs

Sunday 4 June 2017
3/4 Placement match – throw off at 15:15 hrs
VELUX EHF Champions League Final – throw off at 18:00 hrs
