EURO 2014 – Group B: Routine day for Denmark and Norway

Norway and Denmark showed their class in the opening matches of the Women’s EHF EURO 2014 Group B in Hungarian city of Debrecin. Norwegian girls had no troubles against surprisingly weak Romania 27:19 (16:7) in the match which looked finish after only 15 minutes. Despite Christina Neagu, there were no Romanian player who could compete with strong Scandinavian defense, and that was the main difference between two teams.

Oftedal scored five for the winning team.

In the second match of the day, Denmark easily outplayed Ukraine 32:23 (14:11) with stronger second half, in which quality of the Jan Pytlick’s girls came to the fore. Norgaard scored 8 for the winners, while Borschenko netted one less for Ukrainians…
