Spaniard Raul Gonzales is new Macedonian NT head-coach! The Management Board of Macedonian Handball Federation voted for RK Vardar coach to become a successor of Lino Červar, who decided to accept offer to lead his native country Croatia at Men’s EHF EURO 2018 on home soil next January.
Gonzales will have difficult task to qualify for the next event in Croatia. Currently, Macedonia have two points after two matches. Balkan team beat Ukraine 27:21 and lost against Czech Republic 28:35.
In Group is also Iceland.
“Raul is the best option for us in this moment. We would like that he transfer his system from Vardar to the national team. Our first goal is to qualify for the EHF EURO 2018 and then we will see”, said Macedonian Handball Federation president, Zivko Mukaetov.
