The Macedonian team is on the right way to be present at the next World Championship 2015 in Qatar after they beat Greece in Athens with 27:25. Macedonia were big favorites for this game, but it was in no way an easy job for the team led by Kiril Lazarov. Macedonia and Greece both exchanged lead and the game was very tense throughout all 60 minutes, only in the final few minutes the experience of the Macedonian team brought them a slight victory which might mean qualifying as the return leg is in Skopje. With 27:25 victory, Kiril Lazarov was the top scorer with 7 goals, while Dejan Manaskov was second with 6 goals from 6 shots. Greeks had Raki Marango as their leading scorer with 4 goals.
