MAGDEBURG CLAIMS SECOND EUROPEAN TITLE IN THREE SEASONS — KRISTJANSSON NAMED MVP AGAIN

For the second time in three seasons, SC Magdeburg have been crowned champions of Europe. In the grand final, they convincingly outplayed their biggest rival of the season, Füchse Berlin.

Just a day earlier, Bennet Wiegert’s men dethroned Barcelona, and now they rightfully celebrate another epic triumph. Just like in 2023, their charge to glory was led by the phenomenal Gisli Kristjansson. And once again, the Icelander was named the Most Valuable Player of the EHF FINAL4 in Cologne.

In the final, Kristjansson scored eight goals from 11 attempts, adding numerous assists and standout plays to round off a brilliant performance.
