Pick Szeged and Montpellier will not be part of the EHF Champions League TOP 12! GOG is IN!
The Hungarian side played out a 33:33 draw against GOG in Szeged, ending their hopes of reaching the next stage of the competition, where Danish side GOG and Sporting CP will compete.
Goalkeeper Kevin Møller was the hero for GOG, saving Mario Šoštarić’s teammate Sebastian Frimmel’s final shot that could have secured victory for the hosts.
Meanwhile, Montpellier’s defeat in Barcelona ended their hopes of finishing second in the group. The remaining TOP 12 spot will go to either Danish side Aarhus or Dinamo București.
The Romanian champions must beat Montpellier away from home next week to secure their place in the next stage.
