Camilla Herrem’s Pink Jersey Sold for Record 100,000 NOK in Cancer Awareness Auction

Sola’s heartfelt gesture turned into a record-breaking moment after their league match against Storhamar. As part of their annual breast cancer awareness campaign, the team wore special pink jerseys dedicated to the fight against cancer — later auctioned to raise funds for research.
Camilla Herrem’s shirt became the star of the auction, fetching an incredible 100,000 Norwegian kroner (about 8.300 EUR), a figure rarely seen in Norwegian sports.
The 37-year-old handball icon continues to inspire both on and off the court. Barely six months after being diagnosed with breast cancer, Herrem returned to play just 2.5 months later — and remains one of Sola’s key players in both the domestic league and the Champions League. Her strength, charm, and determination have only deepened the admiration of fans, making this symbolic sale a truly special milestone.
