Sweden’s Comeback Win Over Slovenia Keeps Semi-Final Dream Alive

Sweden are on course for the EHF EURO 2026 semi-finals. The hosts of the main-round group in Malmö secured their fourth win of the tournament. After defeating Croatia, they also beat another Balkan side — Slovenia — 35:31 (13:15) in a very entertaining match in which the home team turned things around after the break.

Sandell led Sweden’s scoring with seven goals, while Johansson added six. For Slovenia, Domen Makuc netted eight.

In the earlier game, Hungary and Switzerland drew, picking up their first points of the main round.
