Bjarki Már Elísson joins Paris Saint-Germain Handball

Paris Saint-Germain Handball is delighted to announce the signing of Bjarki Már Elísson for the 2026/2027 season. The Icelandic international left winger joins the club from One Veszprém HC to strengthen the Paris squad following the absence of Mathieu Grébille, who is sidelined with a ruptured Achilles tendon.
At 36 years old, Bjarki Már Elísson is an Icelandic left winger born in Reykjavík. Developed in Iceland, he began his professional career with Selfoss Handball before moving to HK Kópavogur. He then continued his career in Germany, representing ThSV Eisenach, Füchse Berlin, and TBV Lemgo Lippe.
Since 2022, he has played for One Veszprém HC, one of Europe’s leading handball clubs, where he competed in the EHF Champions League. An Iceland international since 2012, Bjarki Már Elísson brings extensive experience at the highest level, gained both in club competition and with the national team. Renowned for his efficiency on the left wing and his consistency in front of goal, he will add valuable experience and finishing ability to the Paris squad.
