Nikola Karabatić on his future: No coaching plans for now

Widely regarded as one of the greatest handball players of all time, Nikola Karabatić is entering his third season in retirement after bringing an incredible playing career to an end with his final appearances for the French national team at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Now devoted to his family, occasionally seen supporting various sporting events and in the stands at Paris Saint-Germain matches, the older of the Karabatić brothers does not currently see coaching as part of his future.
“Becoming a coach is not in my plans at the moment,” the 42-year-old Frenchman, born in Niš, told L’Équipe when asked about the possibility.
What role Nikola Karabatić will eventually take on in handball — and when — remains to be seen.
