DREAM START IN THE BUNDESLIGA: Nikola Roganovic dominates the world’s strongest league
The wunderkind of Montenegrin-Serbian origin and Swedish international Nikola Roganovic only celebrated his 20th birthday on July 27, but it is already becoming clear that he could be one of the dominant players in the world’s strongest league for years to come.
The young Gummersbach left back has made a superb start in the shirt of the team from the Schwalbe Arena, scoring an impressive 49 goals in the opening six matches of the season.
The son of Montenegrian NT and HC Malmo coach Zoran Roganovic scored 11 goals in the 38:30 win over Bergischer HC, finishing as the top scorer of the match and moving to the top of the Bundesliga scoring chart.
A backcourt trio featuring Roganovic, Miro Schluroff and Alex Dujshebaev has enormous potential, while Gummersbach will also begin their EHF European League campaign on Tuesday.
