Lazar Kukić Returns After Six Months: Four Goals Against GOG

Six months after suffering a serious injury to his shooting shoulder and five months after undergoing surgery, Serbian international Lazar Kukić has returned to the handball court.
The 31-year-old Serbian playmaker, who plays for Hungarian side OTP Bank-Pick Szeged, made his comeback last week in the domestic championship before returning to EHF Champions League action in the 33:33 draw against GOG, a result that sealed the Hungarian team’s fate.
The former Dinamo București, Benfica, Logroño and Partizan player scored four goals against the Danish side.
Pick Szeged failed to qualify for the TOP 12 from a group featuring Sporting CP, GOG and IFK Kristianstad.
The Hungarian club will continue its European campaign in the EHF European League, entering the play-offs for the TOP 16 as a top-seeded team.
