Bartosz Jurecki critizises “Polish phenomen”: “We know our value”

After the 8th place at the World Championship in Sweden, Polish National Team is on his way to Serbia, where in three days will start the EHF EURO 2012. In the “easier part” of the Draw are the team coached by Bogdan Wenta, but handball people think that Poland isn’t same team for 2007 and 2009, when Szmal and Co. won two medals. Line player, Bartosz Jurecki is more optimistic:

– It is not the first time that journalists and some of our fans don’t count on us. That isn’t only a situation with Handball, because is that quite common phenomen in Poland.  When someone has success, then we all identify with him. After the defeat puts a cross, not remembering earlier successes. We don’t accept this. We know our value. We have an experienced team, but with increasingly important role of young players. Everything goes in the right direction – said Jurecki for the Polish Time and comment the first rival, home team, Serbia.

– I would not overestimate. The first game proves nothing as we know that host team will have a help. We won against Serbs at the World Cup in Sweden with a Karol Bielecki’s goal. We know how to play with them. On Sunday we will be ready – said Jurecki.
