Alen Muratovic is back to handball!

One of the best left back in Europe five-six years ago, Alen Muratovic (34) will again play handball after he decided to stop professional career due shoulder injury in 2010! TOP performances during his time in BM Valladolid and the best result in the club history when Spanish team played in EHF CL semi-final in 2007, was the main reason why Muratovic’s transfer to SG Flensburg in 2008 was payed 700.000 EUR! That was the biggest transfers in the history of German Bundesliga before deals of Domagoj Duvnjak (HSV) and Daniel Narcisse (THW Kiel).

Unfortunately, in January 2009 during friendly match, Muratovic was seriosly injured and after 18 months, surgery and recovery period, he announced end of professional career because of his shoulder injury. That was a hard decision, but health had priority.

Three years after, ex-Montenegrian left back decided to try to get back to handball. He will play for ASOBAL member, Cangas, the 14th team in the last Spanish championship. Hopefully, his shoulder won’t be such a problem.

Good luck Alen!
