One of the biggest Ex-Yugoslav, but also European handball cities, home of Ex-Champion Cup winner, RK Borac – Banja Luka, fifth year in a row will host international handball youh festival “ORKA Tournament 2013”. In organization of RK Omladinac from August 26 to August 31, a lot of teams from several countries will gathered in this beautiful cities, which these days hosting Junior World Championship 2013 in famous “Borik” hall.
Great experience and positive energy from the previous years, forced organizing comitee with the president, Zeljko Josic to keep the level of the competition, but also give some new impulse to this year – tournament.
Tournament is postponed because Banja Luka hosting the best wordl’s handball junior competition, which mean that the city on the Vrbas river will be the epicenter of handball activities until end of the summer.
Last year, 78 teams competed at the “ORKA Tourmanent 2012”, so expectations are connected with the breaking a line of 100 teams for this year. Tournament has strong international background and that prove a fact that last year’s winners were from BiH, but also Slovenia and Serbia.
The best players in all ages will get the new award “Bogdan Cvijetic” in memory on one of the biggest Yugoslav and European handball legends from 60’s and 70’s – who was born in Banja Luka. Cvijetic died last year and people of Banja Luka wanted to thank him for all what he has done for the handball and society.
