Barca conquer FLENS Arena!

Once again, the Flens Arena produced another great game of handball as Fc Barcelona Lassa bet SG Flensburg Handewitt 28-27. Xavier Pascual used his experience to outmuscle Ljubomir Vranjes’ side. Barcelona utilised their youngsters and new signings Lasse Andersson and Dika Mem as well as the experience of Borko Ristovski (19 saves), Captain Victor Tomas and sharp shooter Kiril Lazarov to pull off a win against another German team in this 3rd game of the EHF Champions League season.

Both teams came out fast in the first half but Barca were able to get a healthy lead at half time through the combination of fine saves from Ristovski and the goals of Lasse Andersson, Wael Jallouz and Lazarov, making it 11-13 going into the break. The second half was more of the same as Flensburg attempted to get back on top but the Catalan side just kept on scoring with great goals from youngsters Dika Mem, Lasse Andersson and Aitor Ariño. Barcelona were able to hold on to their lead, due to some fine saves and unforced errors as the whistle went for full time, 28-27 to Fc Barcelona Lassa.
