BEBETO SUMMER CUP: A Celebration of Youth Handball and International Friendship

The Bebeto Summer Cup, held at the end of June in Belgrade, has become one of the most beloved youth handball tournaments in the region. This year marked the 9th edition of the event, which has grown steadily in both size and reputation since its founding.

What started as a local gathering of young handball talents has evolved into a truly international event, welcoming clubs from across Europe. In 2025, the tournament brought together 57 teams from five countries – Poland, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Serbia – reaffirming its status as a hub for developing future stars and fostering cross-border friendships through sport.

Matches were played in some of Belgrade’s most recognized venues, including Banjica, Šumice, Pinki, the Sinđelić dome, and Posco Arena, showcasing the city’s commitment to supporting youth sport. With 146 matches played over several days, the tournament was packed with energy, talent, and team spirit.

The competition featured four age categories for boys and three for girls, allowing players of different age groups to showcase their skills. Notably, this year marked a major step forward with the introduction of an official sponsor – BEBETO, whose support added extra flair to the tournament and provided sweet treats and memorable experiences for the young athletes.

Looking Ahead to the 10th Jubilee

Organizers are already preparing for the 10th jubilee edition in 2026, promising new features, larger participation, and even better experiences for players, coaches, and families alike.

As the tournament continues to grow, its mission remains clear: to promote handball, unite young athletes, and create lasting memories on and off the court.
