The third force of Slovenian handball RK Maribor Branik and one of the best domestic coaches Boris Denić ended cooperation by mutual agreement. Reason, bad form at the start of the season which put Maribor in lower part of the table with only 1-1-3 score in the opening five matches of the Championship.
Denić came to Maribor earlier this year after World Championship 2015 in Qatar. He worked as Slovenian NT head-coach between 2012 and 2015. Slovenia made one of the biggest successes in the history with him on the bench by winning the fourth place at World Championship 2013 in Spain.
The new coach will be successful youth coach and former RK CELJE Pivovarna Laško leader – Slavko Ivezić.
