Brazil at 1/4 final, Rosa: It feels like a dream

Brazil will play at the World Handball Championship 2025 quarter-final for the first time in the history! The first ever SouthAmerican team in the battle for semifinals of the biggest competition in handball world, put ahead strong European nations like Norway, Sweden and Spain.

Brazil’s goalkeeper Rangel Da Rosa has been pivotal at the 2025 IHF Men’s World Championship, leading his team to their first-ever quarter-finals berth with stunning performances. The 28-year-old, currently playing for Saint-Raphaël in France, delivered key saves in matches against Norway, USA, and Sweden, boasting a remarkable 40% saving efficiency over five games.

“Now is my time, and I hope to take full advantage of it,” said Da Rosa, who credited his success to his teammates, coaches, and especially goalkeeping coach Ali Al Kheder. “He is always positive and motivates us to perform at our best.”

As Brazil prepares for the next stage, Da Rosa reflects, “It’s crazy to be in the quarter-finals. It feels like a dream.”
