THW Kiel have signed three years contract with the Danish goalkeeper Niklas Landin! One of the best goalies in the last season in European handball, decided to leave Rhein Neckar Lowen and join Kiel from the next summer – 2015! Landin came to Mannheim in 2012 from Bjeringbro Silkeborg and during the last two years was linked with Zebras, but also PSG Handball and FC Barcelona.
Landin, who won the EHF EURO 2012 with Denmark, but also was a main figure in WCh 2013 and EURO 2014 silver campaigns, was satisfied after signing:
– It wasn’t easy to take decision about my sports future. After careful consideration, I have come to the conclusion to look in Kiel a new sporting challenge near my home. I look forward to, although my full concentration will of course be in the coming season, Rhein-Neckar Löwen. I want to say goodbye with great performances from Mannheim – concluded Landin.

Was always going to happen. They needed a world class keeper ever since Omeyer left.
