Bundesliga: Kiel invincible!

I believe I can use the Erich Maria Remarque novel title “All Quiet on the Western Front” as today’s introduction for the Bundesliga games today. To be specific and short, THW Kiel are still unbeaten. 9 games, 9 wins.

THW Kiel continued their domination in the Bundesliga. Now the victim is Melsungen, a team in terrific form. However, it was only enough in the first half, holding Kiel to 14:14, and even leading for some time in the 2nd half by one goal. But then it all came back to its place, and THW showed their strength. Zeitz and Ilic scored 6, while Sprenger scored 4 for a home victory of 28:23.

In the other game, Gummersbach held Fuchse Berlin to a draw (28:28) with a goal in the last second. Fuchse Berlin had two goals advantage with two minutes to go, but Adrian Pfahl scores for Gummersbach and it’s 70 seconds til the end. With 10 seconds to go, Fuchse makes technical error by Laen, and it’s Gummersbach ball. A timeout follows, and in the last second Barna Putics scores for the home side, bringing them a draw and big joy for the home fans.
