Slovenian champion, Celje Pivovarna Laško decided to undertake radical measures after bad first half of the season. Eight points behind a leader, Gorenje Velenje, in First Slovenian League, made a big dissapoitment among member of the Board, so their decision is to cut players wages for 50% until end of the season! To three players (Pajovič, Zorman and Vugrinec) are offered some changes in current contract, how will this decision has effect immediatly. Management was unhappy with a behaviour of the captain, Uroš Zorman (30), so they decided to shift him from that position.
The first player who appeal against this moves of Management was right back, Renato Vugrinec, who will probably left the team this winter. Also, right wing, Dragan Gajić is already seen in French Montpellier.
Celje PL still has chances to qualify for the EHF Champions League TOP 16 phase.
