Lino Cervar and Veselin Vujovic, the coaches of Metalurg and Vardar have acquired new players for the next season, and this should raise the competitiveness of the league in general, and perhaps also make the clubs more competitive in European cups and in the likely-to-be-played Balkan regional league.
Cervar will have for the next season three very good players. Zarko Markovic, the best Montenegrin player arrived in Metalurg after spending the last 8 months in Saudi Arabia. Damir Batinovic, the great potential from Metkovic, will finally get his chance to show his attributes in a bigger club. Another strenghtening is Milan Kozlina, who comes from Celje, and will help the team in the defence mostly, the main philosophy of Cervar.
On this, Vujovic didn’t stay calm, and responded by acquiring Ratko Nikolic, the Serbian national team pivot. They should finally challenge Metalurg for this year’s title in the Macedonian championship, after two years of Metalurg domination with Cervar, and they hope to make even better impression in the regional league and the European cups.
