Good news for handball are coming from Asia. The most populous nation on Earth, the Chinese, have already started their new league, with matches played last week-end, and teams seeded into North and South division. This means growth in handball popularity, and hopefully perhaps also bigger competitivity of the non-European teams at World Championships.
Eight teams are competition from May to September, and then the final rounds will take place in September. The league will be supervised by the national coach Wang Xindong. On the other hand, the Women’s league had it’s successful premiere in March, and results are to come yet for Chinese handball.
