Dika Mem injured, Gille recalled Kentin Mahe
Bad news for the French national team.
In full preparation for the Olympics, Dika Mem was injured during training on Tuesday evening. Kentin Mahé was recalled by Guillaume Gille. During training on Tuesday evening at the Maison du Handball in Creteil, Dika Mem was hit in the thumb of his left hand. He was taken care of by the Blues’ doctor, Dr Emmanuel Bidet, who declared:
“The examinations carried out yesterday evening at Bagnolet hospital did not reveal a fracture, but indicate an immobilization time of several days. »
As a result, the French coach recalled Kentin Mahé for training sessions as well as for the two matches scheduled in Dortmund and Chartres. Not selected in Guillaume Gille’s list for the Olympics last week at the conclusion of the Tignes training course, Kentin Mahé found his partners in Créteil this afternoon.
Dika Mem should, barring any surprises, return to his place after recovering from his injury. As a reminder, the IOC regulations authorize the head-coaches to make possible changes until the technical meeting the day before the first match of the Olympic Games.
France will face Denmark at Round 1.
