DIRECT HUNGARIAN-FRENCH LINE: Casado to Montpellier, Hesham to Veszprem?
Handball market getting the news shape for the season 2025/2026.
According to Handball-Planet.com sources, Spanish playmaker Augustin Casado is on the way from Hungarian top team Veszprem to French Montpellier.
The season 2024/2025 will be the last chance for Casado, who joined team from Veszprem Arena in 2023, to win the only missing trophy for Hungarian powerhouse – the one of EHF Champions League.
The 28-years old Casado has skyrocketing development since 2022 when he played for national team at EHF EURO event. He moved from La Rioja to MT Melsungen and “earned” contract with Veszprem.
Veszprem and Montpellier will exchange back-line player during next summer. As Casado is seen as the new force of French side, in another direction will go Ahmed Hesham.
The 24-years old playmaker playing his second season at Montpellier, while in France is since 2020, where he was a member of USAM Nimes for three seasons.
Hesham will be the third Egyptian in the capital of Hungarian handball. Yehia Eldeera is playing there, while before him Omar Yahia was a member of starting seven on right back position.
