Djurkovic resigns as Pelister coach

Pelister finds themself again in a turbulent situation. The current coach, the Montenegrin Ratko Djurkovic resigned because as he says “found himself between two fires, the management and the players. The situation is out of control, and I have no other option but to resign”. Last Wednesday a training was planned, but the players came late because of striking against unpaid salaries. After that Djurkovic resigned. Now the club will be led by some of the staff, Kire Poposki and Aleksandar Zarkov.

But the other side, said that Djurkovic did not have the required documents to be a coach, such as coach’s license. The Agency for Youth and Sport also confirmed the situation stating that the license diploma is missing in the documentation, and therefore he couldn’t have his stay in Macedonia regulated. Djurkovic himself admitted that the diploma is currently being worked by him.
