Minaur Baia Mare and Kadetten Schaffhausen celebrated away wins in the VELUX EHF Champions League Round 6. Romanian champions had furious finish in Skopje for second victory in two weekends over RK Metalurg 23:21 (14:9). Lino Červar boys have been in minus during the whole match with one exception in 56th minute, when left back Matić scored for 21:20, but that was the last goal for Macedonians on the match. With 3:0 series, Romanians made important step towards first two places, necessary for the battle for TOP 16.
Romanian right back Sadoveac netted five goals, while Bozovic continued with good scoring series (6).
Swiss TOP side Kadetten Schaffhausen, finally, began to play on the level of current roster. Markus Baur team won in Denmark, where domestic Skjern were surprisingly weak – 29:25 (12:13). Olsson scored six goals for the home team, while left wing Liniger made seven for the visitors.
Motor Zaporozhye beat Norwegian Elverum 33:30 in the opening match this weekend.
