In order to reach the group phase, Fuchse Berlin has to go past Meshkov Brest. The task will however be a difficult one, it seems. In the first game in the Max-Schmelling Halle, the “Foxes” could only manage to have two goals advantage ahead of the return leg. After losing the first half by two, the troops of Dagur Sigurdsson rallied in the second half, and in the only celebrated hard-fought 22:20 victory. Konstantin Igropulo scored six goals, while Maxim Baranov was Brest Meshkov’s best with six as well. Good news is that Jesper Nielsen has recovered from his injury, and already had his comeback, ahead of the scheduled date.
