The European season began in the best possible way for Telekom Veszprem and SG Flensburg Handewitt.
The Hungarian champions (Tonnesen and Gajic with six goals) beat Motor Zaporozhye 40:28 in the first home match in the season, while SG Flensburg Handewitt had a difficult 60 minutes in Celje, but at the end won 25:24 (13:12) with Johannessen in the main role with six goals.
