Vive Targi Kielce were defeated for the first time in this season as they lost to KIF Kolding Kobenhavn 23:29. It seems that the break did not serve them well; first there was a poor match in the Polish League against MMTS Kwidzyn which, considering Sunday game, was not a sufficient warning. Kielce team began fine with 2 goal lead but it changed very soon. They had problem in the attack, many mistakes were done and the Danish team made the best use of their counterattacks. Unfortunately – for the Poles – it did not change until the final whistle. Polish defence did not look good either, Kolding players had no problem with hitting the net. Kielce goalkeepers were not of much help – Venio Losert replaced Sławomir Szmal on the court in the first half but it did not improve the result significantly.
The second half looked pretty much the same. Kielce still could not break through Danish defence and when they finally did, they made a hero out of the Danish goalkeeper. Numerous lost balls and attacker fouls sold the deal and Polish Champions are coming back home suffering defeat. They will have a chance to take revenge next week as the teams playing against each other in Kielce. Top scorer for Kielce was Ivan Čupić who scored 6 times.
