Norway are the first quarter-finalists of the IHF World Championship 2017 in France! Team from Scandinavia showed once again quality in the last two years on the helm with Christian Berge. After fourth place at Men’s EHF EURO 2016, Norwegians achieved TOP 8 at the first competition in new Olympic cycle by routine win over Macedonia 34:24 (12:10).
Balkan guys gave a good resistance in the first half, but without injured Filip Mirkulovski and Dejan Manaskov, alongside Kiril Lazarov the most experienced members of the team, they couldnt kept pace with strong Norwegians.
At the end, it was +10 in front of 6540 fans in Albertville. Jondal and Sagosen were TOP scorers for Norway, while Kiril Lazarov scored the same number of goals for his team.
