France to fight for the gold after 10 years!

France will have a chance to play for the gold medal at EHF EURO events after 10 years since they did it in Herning 2014 in one of the best matches ever.

At the end France beat Sweden 34:30 (27:27 – 11:17) after 70 minutes of great battle.

Spectacular match has been seen at Lanxess Arena in Cologne, where French team was almost out, but  Elohim Prandi scored free 9-meter throw for 27:27 in the last second of 60 minutes battle at Lanxess Arena in Cologne to put France and Sweden at extra-time.

Sweden were 6 goals down 11:17 after first half, but Glenn Solberg boys managed to come-back quickly on 18:18 and took advantage in the crucial period with +2 27:25 a minute before the final buzzer.

Andreas Palicka was vital person for it with 14 saves in comparison with Belahcene (9) and Desbonnet (1 save for 5 minutes).

Hugo Descat was TOP scorer in French team with 8 goals, Dika Mem netted 6, while Felix Claar in the Swedish jersey scored seven.
