Fuchse Berlin win IHF Super Globe 2015!

Fuchse Berlin won the IHF Super Globe 2015! The biggest surprise in the history of the event happened in Doha, where after FC Barcelona, the EHF Cup winner overplayed another favorite Hungarian Veszprem – 28:27 (24:24 – 15:12) after two extra-times. The hero of the greatest victory in the history of the team from German capital was outstanding Petr Stochl with 16 saves, while the man who scored three of last four goals for his team and decided the match was right back Kent Robin Tonnesen.

Berlin have been in lead during the most of the regular part of the clash with highest advantage +3 (7:4 and 15:12), but Hungarian powerhouse managed to get back to the game from the beginning of the second half. Through the whole second half teams were in lead with maximum one goal, which gave a lot of joy to the handball fans in Duhail Sports Hall in Doha.

German team had last attack to win the regular part but Mirko Alilovic saved it. That pushed Veszprem’s hopes and Ortega boys made +2 at the start of the first extra-time, but Tonnesen and Vukovic made turnover for the spectacular triumph…
