GENERATION 1998: The fourth “Handball is my future” in Bugojno

The fourth youth tournament “Handball is my future” will be held in Bugojno (Bosnia and Herzegovina) between April 14 and 17. Idea of Asim Šahman, the handball coach in Qatar, to organize this kind of event is supported by Qatari Handball Federation and thanks to them, handball fans in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also in the whole region will have a chance to see the best youngstars in generation 1998, who will start with their international journey at European Championship.

In four days, eight teams will fight for the trophy – Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Poland, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia together with Qatari generation 1998.

Also, generation 2000 will be active. Qatari NT will play a few matches against Slovenia and two regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

– Like in the years before, we will give maxium to organize tournament on the best possible level. You can see how serious is from the list of participants. We will have IHF refferes in Bugojno, as we want to keep raiting. We are trying to raise all the standards in every next edition. I am glad that always is some new team who give a new dimension to the competition – said the tournament director Asim Šahman.

The reigning champions are Slovenians, which generation 1996 last year won world’s silver medal in Russia.
