Gensheimer doesn’t break Perunicic’s record

Uwe Gensheimer was very close to breaking Perunicic’s record of scored goals in one Champions League season, but due to a some kind of injury, did not make it.

He played some 20 minutes, and had 3 goals, with two missed penalties, and this left him at the number of 118 scored goals this season. Perunicic has scored 120 goals in the 2001/2002 season, when he played for Magdeburg.

Last season also Filip Jicha came quite close, he had 110 goals in the season, however this season the record was at stake even more, but in the end Perunicic will keep it for at least one more season, even though it seems a matter of time when someone manages to overtake him…
