GERMANY LOOKING FOR A NEW HEAD-COACH: Heuberger without new contract!

German national team will have a new head-coach at the end of Olympic cycle after another disaster in the biggest handball country – defeat at WCh 2015 Play Off against Poland. German HANDBALL Federation officials (DHB), president Bauer and vice-president Hanning announced that they won’t extend contract with current coach – Martin Heuberger, who succeed legendary Heiner Brand in 2011, after many years on the assistant coach position.

Heuberger didn’t make any step forward with the team. The only success is made at WCh 2013,where Germany played at 1/4 final, but the team missed Olympic tournament in London 2012, EHF EURO 2014 in Denmark, and now, World Championshio 2015 in Qatar.

SCHWALB, SIGURDSSON, VRANJES, GISLASON…

This is the list of possible new names for the German bench. They are coming from the biggest teams – Martin Schwalb, Dagur Sigurdsson, Ljubomir Vranjes, Alfred Gislason. It seems that Fuchse Berlin head-coach, Icelander, Dagur Sigurdsson is the closest to get dual function…
