One of the biggest legends in German Female handball, the player with the highest number of national team caps with 305, as well as most goals scored for the national team – a number standing at 1579, Grit Jurack, decided that it’s time to say good bye to the national team. Winning the Champions league twice with Viborg HK, and winning bronze medal two times with the national team at the World Championships 1997 and 2007, she will continue to give more attention to the family now, and give chance to the younger players in the national team.
