HAPPY END OF HORRIBLE WEEK: Veszprem are back on the winning track!

Antonio Carlos Ortega’s assistant Xavi Sabate did the perfect job in his first match as the head-coach of Hungarian Veszprem. After horrible week in which Board of Hungarian champions had to explain to the players, fans and media why they sacked Spanish coach simultaneously looking for a new coach on the market, roster reacted in the best possible way by beating SG Flensburg 28:24 (15:14).

Led by 5.500 fans in Veszprem Arena, guys from Veszprem were “fired up” to get back in the winning mood and forget on the bad circumstances and pressure.

Once again, Momir Ilic was TOP scorer with nine goals, while a few important saves had Mirko Alilovic in the last few minutes of the clash. Mahe and Eggert were TOP scorers in Ljubomir Vranjes’ squad.
