Slovenia won’t defend bronze medal from the last World Championship 2017 in France, because team of Veselin Vujovic is stopped by Hungarian team in Play-Off for WCh 2019 in Denmark and Germany!
However, Slovenians were close to make epic turnover in Veszprem, but domestic team stayed on the feet to keep +5 from the first match (34:29). The second match was ended 26:22 for Slovenia, who stayed two goals down for another big event.
Hungary played quarter-final at the last WCh 2017, but then collapsed in Preliminary Round of the Men’s EHF EURO 2018 on the start of Ljubomir Vranjes’ era.
