Icelanders ready for EHF EURO 2024: Our country has high hopes
Iceland are ready to start Men’s EHF EURO 2024 with the match against Serbia on Friday in Munchen.
One of the strongest roster in the world of handball with 8 players from Bundesliga, but also profiles from Kielce, Veszprem, Kolstad, is considered one of the “dark horses” at the tournament in Germany.
For the Main Round Iceland will fight against Serbia, Hungary and Montenegro.
“Our country has certainly high goals. We want also to chase our goals”, said Bjarki Mar Elisson for Handball-Planet.com.
Aron Palmarsson added:
“We also put a lot of pressure on ourselves. We want to go far on this tournament. Pressure can be in our favor”
