Thrill, energy or passion, joy, tears or emotions, speed, power or team work – this is handball, these are the images of handball. The International Handball Federation is again launching a contest to have the best images of handball, the best handball pictures of 2013.No matter if the pictures were taken at a World Championship or at a school tournament – it is the impression and the image that counFor the fifth time the IHF awards a prize money of CHF 5,000.- to the winner of this contest. Last year, for the first time in this competition, a beach handball picture taken by Australian photographer Ben Dawson and named “the flying sandmen” was awarded as the winner.
All professional photographers working on handball are invited to send their best shots of 2013 showing the attraction, the thrill, the emotions, the speed or the enthusiasm of handball until 1 July 2014. The best photos will be published in the World Handball Magazine and further IHF publications.
The conditions of participation:
- The theme of the photo must be handball
- The photo must have been taken in 2013
- Closing date is 1 July 2014
- Any photographer can send up to three photos
