Denmark isn’t only rocked by the celebration “12,000 for handball” when they set a record at the arena of Herning, but also by Kasper Hvidt’s new book, “Under heavens, in the midst of goals”, which was written by the political journalist Rasmus Bech.
In the book, among other things, he describes the mood of the Danish team after the quarter-final defeat at the hands of Croatia at the Olympics in Beijing 2008. He says that it was very disappointing, and as a consolation they were allowed by Ulrik Wilbek to go drinking, and mentions that Mikkel Hansen ended up in hospital, while many others were also very drunk, but still many of them went to enjoy Beijing’s nightlife.
The book is to come out in a few days, and is expected to be really interesting to read in aspect of many things.
