Lars Walther resigns as Wisla Plock coach

Lars Walther isn’t Wisla Plocks coach anymore. Today he has resigned due to bad results and defeat in EHF Cup. On Sunday Oiles lost in Holstebro with Team Tvis and they had to say goodbye to EHF Cup. If they won, would he stay at Plock? ‘I don’t want to talk about ‘if’, I want to talk about what happened’ – he said.
At press conference president of Wisla, Andrzej Miszczynśki has informed today that coach Walther decided to part with the club. – Due to bad results I decided to resign – said Walther – Results here are connected with money. I wanted to give more space, so I made this resignation. I don’t want to be remember here as a guy who was there for money. I want to thank club, president, fans, sponsors and of course the team. I had three fantastic years here. My heart will always be in this city. Big piece of my heart stays in this club. In the future I will be with Wisla, looking at theirs results. In two weeks, when rest of players come back from national teams I’m going to see all team and say goodbye on normal way – he ended. He also said that it was in 100% his decision and there was no pressure on him.
We don’t know yet who is going to be a new coach of Wisla in new season. Andrzej Miszczyński said that he had to think about it. Club makes plan for few years and according to that Walther was supposed to be coach until 2014. For now and maybe next season new coach is Krzysztof Kisiel, who was working with Wisla as head coach few years ago. During last three seasons he was second coach in the club. – I don’t want to comment this decision of Lars. Now I want to focus on preparing team to Final Four Polish Cup and last part of the season – said new-old coach.
