Marcin Lijewski will likely be leaving HSV this summer. The Polish international has said in an interview that HSV has no plans to use him in future, and that one of the reasons is that he reached the age of 34. Apart from Carlen, the club has no one else on that position, and it might be a vulnerable spot for HSV next season should they opt to do without Lijewski and sign no one else. Lijewski refused to comment on whether he will be joining another Bundesliga club or leave Germany.
