Lithuania wins Riga Council Cup 2013

Men’s 16th international four-team handball tournament “Riga Council Cup 2013” was won by Lithuania on Saturday. Home team Latvia took 2nd place, Slovakia – 3rd place, Estonia – 4th place.

On Thursday Lithuania won Latvia with 29:27, Slovakia took over Estonia – 40:27. On Friday Latvia celebrated victory over Estonia (34:26), but Lithuania against Slovakia (22:18). On Saturday Estonia got only two points against Lithuania (34:27), but Latvia secured second place over Slovakia (24:20).

Top-scorer of the “Riga Council Cup 2013” was Latvian giant Dainis Kristopans with 17 goals. MVP trophy got Latvian pivot-player Ingars Dude.
